أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ الْيَشْكُرِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ

«أَنَّ رَجُلًا زَارَ أَخًا لَهُ فِي قَرْيَةٍ أُخْرَى فَأَرْسَلَ اللَّهُ عَلَى مَدْرَجَتِهِ مَلَكًا فَلَمَّا أَتَى عَلَيْهِ قَالَ أَيْنَ تُرِيدُ؟ قَالَ أَزُورُ أَخًا لِي فِي هَذِهِ الْقَرْيَةِ فقَالَ هَلْ لَهُ عَلَيْكَ مِنْ نِعْمَةٍ تَرُبُّهَا؟ قَالَ لَا إِلَّا أَنِّي أُحِبُّهُ فِي اللَّهِ قَالَ فَإِنِّي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ إِلَيْكَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ قَدْ أَحَبَّكَ كَمَا أَحْبَبْتَهُ فِيهِ»

✧ "A man visited a brother of his in another village, so Allah sent an angel to wait for him on his path. When he came to him (the angel), he said: Where are you going? He said: I am visiting a brother of mine in this village. He said: Does he have any favor over you that you maintain? He said: No, except that I love him for the sake of Allah. He said: Then I am the messenger of Allah to you: Allah has loved you as you loved him for His sake."
