✧ We travelled with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was seeking Majdi b. 'Amr al-Juhani. The water-carrying camel would be ridden in turns by five, six, or seven of us. The turn of a man from the Ansar came near, so he made his camel kneel and mounted it, then he urged it on. It balked under him somewhat, so he said: «Shah! May Allah curse you.» The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: «Who is this cursing his camel?» He said: «I am, O Messenger of Allah.» He said: «Dismount from it. Do not accompany us with one cursed. Do not pray against yourselves, nor against your children, nor against your property. Lest you coincide with an hour when He answers you.»
