✧ Humility, pride, and arrogance

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحَجَّاجِ السَّامِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ عَنْ سَلْمَانَ الْأَغَرِّ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ فِيمَا يَحْكِي عَنْ رَبِّهِ جَلَّ وَعَلَا
«الْكِبْرِيَاءُ رِدَائِي وَالْعَظَمَةُ إِزَارِي فَمَنْ نَازَعَنِي وَاحِدًا مِنْهُمَا قَذَفْتُهُ فِي النَّارِ»

✧ Pride is My cloak and greatness is My lower garment. Whoever contends with Me for either of them, I will cast him into the Fire.
