أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى حَدَّثَنَا مُجَاهِدُ بْنُ مُوسَى حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ حَدَّثَنَا مُسْتَمِرُّ بْنُ الرَّيَّانِ عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ

«إِنَّ امْرَأَةً مِنْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ كَانَتْ قَصِيرَةً فَاتَّخَذَتْ لَهَا نَعْلَيْنِ مِنْ خَشَبِ فَكَانَتْ تَمْشِي بَيْنَ امْرَأَتَيْنِ طَوِيلَتَيْنِ تَطَاوَلُ بِهِمَا وَاتَّخَذَتْ خَاتَمًا مِنْ ذَهَبٍ وَحَشَتْ تَحْتَ فَصِّهِ أَطْيَبَ الطِّيبِ الْمِسْكَ فَكَانَتْ إِذَا مَرَّتْ بِالْمَجْلِسِ حَرَّكَتْهُ فَيَفُوحُ رِيحُهُ»

✧ A woman among the Children of Israel was short, so she made herself two sandals of wood and would walk between two tall women, making herself taller with them. She made a ring of gold and filled under its bezel with the finest perfume, musk. When she passed by a gathering, she would move it and its fragrance would spread.
