✧ I heard Anas b. Malik say regarding this verse: {Do not enter the houses of the Prophet unless you are given permission for a meal}. He said, "The Prophet of Allah ﷺ consummated marriage with one of his wives and prepared food. He sent me, and I invited some men. They ate, then he got up and went out to ʿAʾishah's house. I followed him, and he entered, finding two men in her house. When he saw them, he turned back without speaking to them. They got up and left, and the verse of the screen was revealed: {O you who believe, do not enter the houses of the Prophet unless you are given permission for a meal, not waiting for its preparation}."
