✧ Abu Salih used to command us, when one of us wanted to sleep, to lie down on his right side and then say: 'O Allah, Lord of the heavens and Lord of the earth and Lord of the Mighty Throne, our Lord and Lord of everything, Splitter of the grain and the date-stone, Revealer of the Torah, the Gospel, and the Criterion, I seek refuge in You from the evil of everything whose forelock You hold. You are the First, so there is nothing before You, and You are the Last, so there is nothing after You, and You are the Outward, so there is nothing above You. Settle our debt and free us from poverty.' And he would narrate that from Abu Hurayrah, from the Prophet ﷺ.
