أَخْبَرَنَا الْهَيْثَمُ بْنُ خَلَفٍ الدُّورِيُّ بِبَغْدَادَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ رُشَيْدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ وَحْشِيِّ بْنِ حَرْبِ بْنِ وَحْشِيِّ بْنِ حَرْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ وَحْشِيٍّ قَالَ
قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّا نَأْكُلُ وَلَا نَشْبَعُ قَالَ «تَجْتَمِعُونَ عَلَى طَعَامِكُمْ أَوْ تَتَفَرَّقُونَ؟ » قَالُوا نَتَفَرَّقُ قَالَ « اجْتَمِعُوا عَلَى طَعَامِكُمْ وَاذْكُرُوا اسْمَ اللَّهِ يُبَارَكْ لَكُمْ»

✧ They said, "O Messenger of Allah, we eat but we are not filled." He said, "Do you gather together over your food or do you separate?" They said, "We separate." He said, "Gather together over your food, and mention the name of Allah, and you will be blessed in it."
