✧ I came to the Prophet ﷺ while he was sitting wrapped in a burdah of his, and its fringes were on his feet. I said, 'O Messenger of Allah, advise me.' He said, 'You must fear Allah, and do not deem any good deed insignificant, even if it is pouring from your bucket into the vessel of one seeking water, and speak to your brother with a cheerful face. Beware of letting your lower garment drag, for it is from arrogance, and Allah does not love it. If a man reproaches you for something he knows about you, do not reproach him for something you know about him. Leave him; its burden will be on him and its reward for you, and do not revile anything.' He said: After that I never reviled any animal or human.
