✧ I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, 'O Messenger of Allah, we are people from the desert, so teach us something through which Allah may benefit us.' He said, 'Do not deem any good deed insignificant, even if it is pouring from your bucket into the vessel of one seeking water, or speaking to your brother with a cheerful face. Beware of letting your lower garment drag, for it is from arrogance, and Allah does not love it. If a man insults you with something he knows about you, do not insult him with something you know about him, for the reward is yours and the burden is upon the one who said it.'
