✧ A group of the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by a tribe among the Arab tribes, and among them was someone stung or bitten. They said, 'Is there any raqi among you?' A man from among them went and performed ruqyah on him for a flock of sheep, and he was cured. When he came to his companions, they disliked that and said, 'You took a fee for the Book of Allah.' When they came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, they told him about that. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ called the man and asked him, and he said, 'O Messenger of Allah, we passed by a tribe among the Arab tribes, and among them was someone stung or bitten. They said, "Is there any raqi among you?" So I performed ruqyah on him with the Opening of the Book, and he was cured.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'The most deserving thing for which you have taken a fee is the Book of Allah.'
