أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَلْمٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ عَنِ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْغَافِرِ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ

كُنَّا نَبِيعُ تَمْرَ الْجَمْعِ صَاعَيْنِ بِصَاعٍ مِنْ تَمْرِ الْجَنِيبِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَا صَاعَيْ تَمْرٍ بِصَاعِ تَمْرٍ وَلَا صَاعَيْ حِنْطَةٍ بِصَاعِ حِنْطَةٍ وَلَا دِرْهَمَيْنِ بِدِرْهَمٍ»

✧ We used to sell jamʿ dates, two ṣāʿs for one ṣāʿ of janīb dates. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “No two ṣāʿs of dates for one ṣāʿ of dates, nor two ṣāʿs of wheat for one ṣāʿ of wheat, nor two dirhams for one dirham.”
