✧ That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ intended to attack them, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ pointed to the woman who had the Book with her, so he sent to her and took her book from her head and said, "O Hatib, what have you done?" He said, "Yes, I did it not out of deceit for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ nor hypocrisy, but I knew that Allah would expose His Messenger ﷺ and fulfill His command, except that I was a stranger among them, and my family was with them, so I wanted to make them feel comfortable. Then Umar ibn al-Khattab said, "Shouldn't I strike the head of this man?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Would you kill a man from the people of Badr? And how do you know, perhaps Allah has looked upon the people of Badr?" So he said, "Do as you please."
