✧ We were with the Prophet ﷺ when Allah sent down revelation upon him. When revelation came down upon him, his gaze remained fixed, his eyes open, and his hearing and heart were devoted to what came to him from Allah. He said: We recognized that from him. He said to the scribe, “Write: ‘Not equal are those who remain behind among the believers and those who strive in the way of Allah.’” The blind man stood up and said, “O Messenger of Allah, what is our sin?” Then revelation came down upon him. We said to the blind man, “Revelation is coming down upon the Prophet ﷺ.” He feared that something concerning his matter would be revealed, so he remained standing, saying, “I seek refuge from the anger of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.” He said: Then the Prophet ﷺ said to the scribe, “Write: ‘Other than those with disabilities.’”
