✧ «Do you have any difficulty in seeing the moon on the night of the full moon when there is no cloud?» They said: No, O Messenger of Allah. He said: «Do you have any difficulty in seeing the sun at midday when there is no cloud?» They said: No, O Messenger of Allah. He said: «By the One in whose hand is my soul, you will have no difficulty in seeing your Lord just as you have no difficulty in seeing them. Then the servant will be met, and He will say: O so-and-so, did I not honor you, did I not make you a chief, did I not marry you off, did I not subject for you horses and camels and let you lead and graze? He will say: Yes, O Lord. He will say: Did you think that you would meet Me? He will say: No, O Lord. He will say: Today I forget you as you forgot Me.» He said: «Then the second will be met, and He will say: Did I not honor you, did I not make you a chief, did I not marry you off, did I not subject for you horses and camels and let you lead and graze? He will say: Yes, O Lord. He will say: Did you think that you would meet Me? He will say: No, O Lord. He will say: Today I forget you as you forgot Me.» He said: «Then the third will be met, and He will say: What are you? He will say: I am Your servant; I believed in You and in Your Prophet and in Your Book, and I fasted, prayed, and gave charity, and he will praise with good as much as he can. He said: Then it will be said to him: Shall we not send Our witness against you? He said: Then he will think to himself who will testify against him. He said: Then his mouth will be sealed, and it will be said to his thigh: Speak. He said: Then his thigh, his flesh, and his bones will speak of what he used to do. That is the hypocrite, and that is to excuse Himself from him, and that is the one upon whom Allah is wrathful.» He said: «Then a caller will call out: Indeed, every nation has followed what it used to worship. He said: Then the allies of the devils will follow the devils. He said: And the Jews and Christians will follow their allies to Hell. Then he said: Then the believers will remain, then we will remain, O believers. Then our Lord will come to us, and He is our Lord, and He will say: What are these standing for? They will say: We are the servants of Allah, the believers; we worshipped Him, and He is our Lord, and He is coming to us and rewarding us, and this is our station. He said: Then He will say: I am your Lord, so proceed. He said: Then the bridge will be laid, and upon it are hooks of fire that snatch people. At that point, intercession will take place: O Allah, grant safety, O Allah, grant safety. When he crosses the bridge, then everyone who spent a pair of wealth from what he owns in the path of Allah, all the keepers of Paradise will call him: O servant of Allah, O Muslim, this is good. It will be said: O servant of Allah, O Muslim, this is good.» Abu Bakr said: O Messenger of Allah, that is for a servant who has no loss; he leaves one gate and enters from another. He said: Then the Prophet ﷺ struck his shoulders and said: «By the One in whose hand is my soul, I hope that you will be one of them.» 'Abd al-Jabbar said: Sufyan dictated it to me in full dictation.
