✧ A chapter on the oppression of the aggressors

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي بُكَيْرٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ طَهْمَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي بُدَيْلٌ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ صَفِيَّةَ بِنْتِ شَيْبَةَ عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ

«الْمُتَوَفَّى عَنْهَا زَوْجُهَا لَا تَلْبَسُ الْمُعَصْفَرَ مِنَ الثِّيَابِ وَلَا الْمُمَشَّقَةَ وَلَا الْحُلِيَّ وَلَا تَخْتَضِبُ وَلَا تَكْتَحِلُ»

✧ The woman whose husband has died should not wear saffron-dyed garments, nor those dyed with red earth, nor jewelry, nor apply henna, nor apply kohl.
