✧ A chapter on the oppression of the aggressors

أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ الضَّرِيرُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ

«لَا يَحِلُّ لِامْرَأَةٍ تُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ أَنْ تَحُدَّ عَلَى هَالِكٍ أَكْثَرِ مِنْ ثَلَاثٍ إِلَّا عَلَى زَوْجٍ فَإِنَّهَا تَحُدُّ عَلَيْهِ أَرْبَعَةَ أَشْهُرٍ وَعَشْرًا»

✧ It is not lawful for a woman who believes in Allah and the Last Day to mourn for a deceased person more than three days, except for a husband, for she mourns for him four months and ten days.
