machine translationThe narration of those who narrated from Abū Isḥāq, from Abū Burdah, from Abū Mūsā, from the Prophet ﷺ: "There is no marriage without a guardian" is in my view more sound (aṣaḥḥ), because they heard it from Abū Isḥāq at different times. Even though Shuʿbah and al-Thawrī were better memorizers and more reliable than all of those who narrated this hadith from Abū Isḥāq, the narration of those others is in my view more fitting and more sound, because Shuʿbah and al-Thawrī heard this hadith from Abū Isḥāq in a single session.
