✧ We entered ihram with the Prophet ﷺ for Hajj alone, not mixing anything else with it. We arrived in Makkah when four nights had passed of Dhu al-Hijjah. When we had circumambulated the House and gone between Safa and Marwah, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded us to make it an Umrah and to come out of ihram to be with women. We said among ourselves: There are only five days between us and Arafah, and we will go out to it while our private parts drip semen. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “I am the most righteous and most truthful of you, and were it not for the sacrificial animal (hady), I would have come out of ihram.” Suraqah b. Malik stood up and said: O Messenger of Allah, is this tamattu' of ours for this year of ours or forever? The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Rather forever.”
