✧ I came to Abu Tha'labah al-Khushani and said: O Abu Tha'labah, what do you say about this verse: {Those who have gone astray will not harm you if you are guided}? He said: By Allah, you have asked one who knows about it. I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he said: "Rather, enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong, until when you see miserliness obeyed, desire followed, this world preferred, and every person with an opinion admiring his own opinion, then upon you is yourself, and leave the affair of the common people. For behind you are days in which patience is like holding onto embers. For the one who acts in them is the reward of fifty men who do the like of his deed."
Notes
