أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَلْمٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو كَثِيرٍ السُّحَيْمِيُّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا ذَرٍّ قُلْتُ دُلَّنِي عَلَى عَمَلٍ إِذَا عَمِلَ الْعَبْدُ بِهِ دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ عَنْ ذَلِكَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ فقَالَ «يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ» قَالَ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ مَعَ الْإِيمَانِ عَمَلًا؟ قَالَ «يَرْضَخُ مِمَّا رَزَقَهُ اللَّهُ» قُلْتُ وَإِنْ كَانَ مُعْدَمًا لَا شَيْءَ لَهُ؟ قَالَ «يَقُولُ مَعْرُوفًا بِلِسَانِهِ» قَالَ قُلْتُ فَإِنْ كَانَ عَيِيًّا لَا يُبْلِغُ عَنْهُ لِسَانُهُ؟ قَالَ «فَيُعِينُ مَغْلُوبًا» قُلْتُ فَإِنْ كَانَ ضَعِيفًا لَا قُدْرَةَ لَهُ؟ قَالَ «فَلْيَصْنَعْ لِأَخْرَقَ» قُلْتُ وَإِنْ كَانَ أَخْرَقَ؟ قَالَ فَالْتَفَتَ إِلَيَّ وَ قَالَ «مَا تُرِيدُ أَنْ تَدَعَ فِي صَاحِبِكَ شَيْئًا مِنَ الْخَيْرِ فَلْيَدَعِ النَّاسَ مِنْ أَذَاهُ» فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ هَذِهِ كَلِمَةُ تَيْسِيرٍ؟ فقَالَ ﷺ «وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ مَا مِنْ عَبْدٍ يَعْمَلُ بِخَصْلَةٍ مِنْهَا يُرِيدُ بِهَا مَا عِنْدَ اللَّهِ إِلَّا أَخَذَتْ بِيَدِهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ حَتَّى تُدْخِلَهُ الْجَنَّةَ»

✧ I asked Abu Dharr: "Guide me to a deed which, if a servant does it, he will enter Paradise." He said: "I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about that, and he said: 'He believes in Allah.'" I said, "O Messenger of Allah, is there any action with faith?" He said: "He gives from what Allah has provided him." I said, "Even if he is destitute and has nothing?" He said: "He says something good with his tongue." I said, "Even if he is tongue-tied and cannot express himself?" He said: "He helps someone who is overcome." I said, "Even if he is weak and has no ability?" He said: "Let him make something for an unskilled person." I said, "Even if he is unskilled?" He said: Then he turned to me and said: "Do you want to leave any good in your companion? Let him refrain from harming people." I said, "O Messenger of Allah, these are easy words?" He ﷺ said: "By the One in whose hand is my soul, there is no servant who practices one of these traits, seeking thereby what is with Allah, except that it will take him by the hand on the Day of Resurrection until it enters him into Paradise."
