✧ A Chapter, the Virtue of Makkah

أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ وَالْحَجَبِيُّ وَأَبُو الْوَلِيدِ قَالُوا حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ أَنَسٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ دَخَلَ مَكَّةَ وَعَلَى رَأْسِهِ الْمِغْفَرُ فَلَمَّا وَضَعَهُ قِيلَ «هَذَا ابْنُ خَطَلٍ مُتَعَلِّقٌ بِأَسْتَارِ الْكَعْبَةَ فَقَالَ «اقْتُلُوهُ»

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered Makkah with a helmet on his head. When he took it off, it was said: "This is Ibn Khatal clinging to the curtains of the Ka'bah." He said: "Kill him."
