أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الرَّبِيعِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي حَيْوَةُ وَعُمَرُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ وَذَكَرَ عُمَرُ آخَرَ مَعَهُمَا عَنِ ابْنِ الْهَادِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ خَبَّابٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ

نَهَى عَنِ الْوِصَالِ فَقِيلَ لَهُ فَإِنَّكَ تُوَاصِلُ قَالَ «لَسْتُمْ كَهَيْئَتِي إِنِّي أَبِيتُ لِيَ مُطْعِمٌ يُطْعِمُنِي وَسَاقٍ يَسْقِيَنِي فَأَيُّكُمْ وَاصَلَ فَمِنْ سَحَرٍ إِلَى سَحَرٍ»

✧ From the Prophet ﷺ, it is narrated that he forbade excessive socialization. It was said to him, "But you maintain frequent communication with people." He replied, "You are not like me. I have a sustainer who feeds me and gives me drink. So, whoever amongst you continues to maintain constant communication, it is from one magic spell to another."
