✧ A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, “O Messenger of Allah, the morning comes upon me while I am in a state of major impurity—should I fast that day of mine?” I heard the Prophet ﷺ say, “Sometimes the morning comes upon me while I am in a state of major impurity, and I get up, perform the ritual bath, pray the morning prayer, and fast that day of mine.” The man said, “You are not like us: Allah has forgiven you your past and future sins.” The Prophet ﷺ said, “I hope that I am the most fearful of Allah among you and the most knowledgeable of what I avoid.”
