Abū ʿĀmir al-ʿAqadī and ʿUthmān b. ʿUmar narrated it from Ibn Abī Dhiʾb, from al-Maqburī, from his father, from Abū Hurayrah. Yazīd b. Hārūn and Abū Nubātah Yūnus b. Yaḥyā narrated it from Ibn Abī Dhiʾb, from al-Maqburī, from Abū Hurayrah, and they did not say "from his father". Abū Qatādah reported an unusual (gharīb) chain of transmission, from Ibn Abī Dhiʾb, from al-Zuhrī, from ʿAbdullāh b. Thaʿlabah b. Ṣuʿayr, from Abū Hurayrah, from the Prophet ﷺ.
