أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْجَعْدِ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ مَوْلَاةً لَنَا يُقَالُ لَهَا لَيْلَى تُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أُمِّ عُمَارَةَ بِنْتِ كَعْبٍ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ دَخَلَ عَلَيْهَا فَدَعَتْ لَهُ بِطَعَامٍ فَقَالَ «تَعَالَيْ فَكُلِي» فَقَالَتْ إِنِّي صَائِمَةٌ فَقَالَ «إِنَّ الصَّائِمَ إِذَا أُكِلَ عِنْدَهُ صَلَّتْ عَلَيْهِ الْمَلَائِكَةُ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered upon her, and she called for food for him. He said: "Come and eat." She said: I am fasting. He said: "When food is eaten in the presence of a fasting person, the angels send blessings upon him."
