✧ On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ, he said: "Every good deed that the son of Adam performs is multiplied from ten good deeds up to seven hundredfold. Allah says: 'Except for fasting, for it is Mine and I shall reward it. He gives up his food for My sake, his drink for My sake, and his desire for My sake, and I shall reward it. The fasting person has two joys: a joy when he breaks his fast and a joy when he meets his Lord. And the changed breath of the mouth of the fasting person when it changes due to food is more pleasant to Allah than the scent of musk.'"

As for Abū Ḥuṣayn, Isrāʾīl narrated it from him raised to the Prophet ﷺ, while Abū Bakr b. ʿAyyāsh narrated it from him as a statement stopping at Abū Hurayrah (mawqūf), and he made it mawqūf. It is authentic (ṣaḥīḥ).
