أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ الْقَطَّانُ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جَابِرٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ رَبٍّ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ مُعَاوِيَةَ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ

«إِنَّمَا الْأَعْمَالُ بِخَوَاتِيمِهَا كَالْوِعَاءِ إِذَا طَابَ أَعْلَاهُ طَابَ أَسْفَلُهُ وَإِذَا خَبُثَ أَعْلَاهُ خَبُثَ أَسْفَلُهُ»
