أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ الْمُعَدِّلُ بِالْفُسْطَاطِ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَارِثُ بْنُ مِسْكِينٍ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ عَنْ رَاشِدِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ قَتَادَةَ السُّلَمِيُّ وَكَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ

«خَلَقَ اللَّهُ آدَمَ ثُمَّ أَخَذَ الْخَلْقَ مِنْ ظَهْرِهِ فقَالَ هَؤُلَاءِ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَلَا أُبَالِي وَهَؤُلَاءِ فِي النَّارِ وَلَا أُبَالِي» قَالَ قَائِلٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَعَلَى مَاذَا نَعْمَلُ؟ قَالَ «عَلَى مَوَاقِعِ الْقَدَرِ»

✧ “Allah created Adam, then took the creation from his back and said: These are in Paradise, and I do not care; and these are in the Fire, and I do not care.” A questioner said: O Messenger of Allah, then on what basis should we act? He said: “On the occasions of the decree.”
