أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ بْنِ وَرْدَانَ الْبَزَّازُ بِالْفُسْطَاطِ حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ أَخْبَرَنَا اللَّيْثُ عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ
أَنَّهُ قَالَ يَوْمًا لِأَصْحَابِهِ «تَصَدَّقُوا» فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ عِنْدِي دِينَارٌ قَالَ «أَنْفِقْهُ عَلَى نَفْسِكَ» قَالَ إِنَّ عِنْدِي آخَرَ قَالَ «أَنْفِقْهُ عَلَى زَوْجَتِكَ» قَالَ «إِنَّ عِنْدِي آخَرَ قَالَ » أَنْفِقْهُ عَلَى وَلَدِكَ « قَالَ إِنَّ عِنْدِي آخَرَ قَالَ » أَنْفِقْهُ عَلَى خَادِمِكَ « قَالَ إِنَّ عِنْدِي آخَرَ قَالَ» أَنْتَ أَبْصَرُ

✧ One day he said to his companions, "Give charity." A man said, "O Messenger of Allah, I have a dinar." He said, "Spend it on yourself." He said, "I have another." He said, "Spend it on your wife." He said, "I have another." He said, "Spend it on your child." He said, "I have another." He said, "Spend it on your servant." He said, "I have another." He said, "You know best."
