Sahih Ibn Hibban 3328

أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ حَدَّثَنَا أُمَيَّةُ بْنُ بِسْطَامٍ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ

«يَقُولُ الْعَبْدُ مَالِي وَإِنَّمَا لَهُ مِنْ مَالِهِ مَا أَكَلَ فَأَفْنَى أَوْ لَبِسَ فَأَبْلَى أَوْ تَصَدَّقَ فَأَمْضَى وَمَا سِوَاهُ فَهُوَ ذَاهِبٌ وَتَارِكُهُ لِلنَّاسِ»

✧ The servant says, 'My wealth,' but he has of his wealth only what he ate and consumed, or wore and wore out, or gave in charity and sent ahead. Whatever is besides that is departing and he leaves it to people.
