✧ I was walking with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the lava field of Madinah in the evening, and Uhud met us. He said, "O Abu Dharr, I would not love to have Uhud in gold and spend a third night while I have a dinar of it, except a dinar which I set aside for a debt — unless I say about it regarding the servants of Allah like this and like this," meaning from in front of him, behind him, to his right, and to his left. Then he said, "O Abu Dharr, indeed the wealthy are the fewest on the Day of Resurrection." Then he said to me, "Do not leave until I come to you." He went off, then came in the darkness of night, and I heard a sound. I feared it might be harm to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, so I intended to leave. Then I remembered his words, so I sat until he came. I said to him, "I wanted to come to you, O Messenger of Allah, then I remembered your words to me, and I heard a sound." He said, "That was Jibril. He came to me and informed me that whoever of my community dies without associating anything with Allah will enter Paradise." I said, "Even if he commits adultery and steals?" He said, "Even if he commits adultery and steals."
