✧ A Chapter on the condition of the deceased in their grave

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ دَرَّاجًا أَبَا السَّمْحِ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْهَيْثَمِ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ

«يُسَلَّطُ عَلَى الْكَافِرِ فِي قَبْرِهِ تِسْعَةٌ وَتِسْعُونَ تِنِّينًا تَنْهَشُهُ وَتَلْدَغُهُ حَتَّى تَقُومَ السَّاعَةُ فَلَوْ أَنَّ تِنِّينًا مِنْهَا نَفَخَتْ فِي الْأَرْضِ مَا أَنْبَتَتْ خَضِرًا»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Ninety-nine dragons will be set upon the disbeliever in his grave, tearing and biting him until the Day of Judgment. If one dragon were to breathe in the earth, it would not grow anything green."
