✧ A Chapter on the condition of the deceased in their grave

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُوسَى بِعَسْكَرِ مُكْرَمٍ وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ قَحْطَبَةَ بْنِ مَرْزُوقٍ بِفَمِ الصِّلْحِ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ الْأُبُلِّيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ

«إِذَا دَخَلَ الْمَيِّتُ الْقَبْرَ مُثِّلَتْ لَهُ الشَّمْسُ عِنْدَ غُرُوبِهَا فَيَقُولُ دَعُونِي أُصَلِّي»

✧ When the deceased enters the grave, the sun is shown to him at its setting, and he says: 'Leave me so that I may pray.'
