✧ I went to 'A'ishah when the sun eclipsed. The people were standing praying, and she was standing praying. I said: 'What is with the people?' She pointed with her hand toward the sky and said: 'Glory be to Allah.' I said: 'A sign?' She gestured: 'Yes.' She said: 'So I stood until I was overcome by fainting, and I began pouring water over my head. When the Messenger of Allah finished, he praised Allah and extolled Him, then said: "There is nothing I had not seen except that I have seen it in this station of mine, even Paradise and Hellfire. It has been revealed to me that you will be tested in your graves, like or close to the trial of the Dajjal—I do not know which of them Asma' said. One of you will be approached and asked: 'What knowledge do you have of this man?' As for the believer or the certain one—I do not know which of them Asma' said—he says: 'Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. He came to us with clear proofs and guidance, so we answered, believed, and followed.' It is said to him: 'Sleep well. We knew that you were a believer.' As for the hypocrite or the doubter—I do not know which of them Asma' said—he says: 'I do not know. I heard people saying something, so I said it.'"
