✧ A Chapter on the condition of the deceased in their grave

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْأَزْدِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ عَنِ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ

«إِنَّ الْعَبْدَ إِذَا وُضِعَ عَلَى سَرِيرِهِ يَقُولُ قَدِّمُونِي قَدِّمُونِي وَإِنَّ الْعَبْدَ إِذَا وُضِعَ عَلَى سَرِيرِهِ يَقُولُ يَا وَيْلَتِي أَيْنَ تَذْهَبُونَ بِي؟ » يُرِيدُ الْمُسْلِمَ وَالْكَافِرَ

Translation

✧ When a servant is placed on his bier, he says: 'Hasten me forward, hasten me forward.' And when a servant is placed on his bier, he says: 'Woe to me! Where are you taking me?' He means the Muslim and the disbeliever.
