✧ A Chapter on Death and Its Related Aspects of the Comfort of the Believer, His Glad Tidings, His Soul, His Deeds, and Praise for Him

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْوَكِيعِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُؤَمَّلُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ

«مَا مِنْ مُسْلِمٍ يَمُوتُ فَيَشْهَدُ لَهُ أَرْبَعَةُ أَهْلِ أَبْيَاتٍ مِنْ جِيرَتِهِ الْأَدْنَيْنَ أَنَّهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ إِلَّا خَيْرًا إِلَّا قَالَ اللَّهُ جَلَّ وَعَلَا قَدْ قَبِلْتُ عِلْمَكُمْ فِيهِ وَغَفَرْتُ لَهُ مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ»

✧ 'There is no Muslim who dies and four households of his closest neighbors testify that they know nothing but good of him except that God, Majestic and Exalted, says, "I have accepted your knowledge of him and have forgiven him for what you do not know."'
