أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الرَّبِيعِ الزَّهْرَانِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ عَنْ أَسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهَ ﷺ ذَكَرَ الطَّاعُونَ فَقَالَ «بَقِيَّةُ رِجْزٍ وَعَذَابٌ أُرْسِلَ عَلَى طَائِفَةٍ مِنْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ فَإِذَا وَقَعَ بِأَرْضٍ وَأَنْتُمْ بِهَا فَلَا تَهْرَبُوا مِنْهُ وَإِذَا كَانَ بِأَرْضٍ فَلَا تَهْبِطُوا عَلَيْهِ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ mentioned the plague and said, "It is a remnant of punishment and torment that was sent upon a group of the Children of Israel. When it occurs in a land while you are there, do not flee from it; and when it is in a land, do not descend upon it."
