أَخْبَرَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى بْنِ مُجَاشِعٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هُدْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَاصِمِ ابْنِ بَهْدَلَةَ عَنْ مُصْعَبِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّهُ قَالَ
يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَنْ أَشَدُّ النَّاسِ بَلَاءً؟ قَالَ «الْأَنْبِيَاءُ ثُمَّ الْأَمْثَلُ فَالْأَمْثَلُ يُبْتَلَى الْعَبْدُ عَلَى حَسَبِ دِينِهِ فَمَا يَبْرَحُ بِالْعَبْدِ حَتَّى يَمْشِيَ عَلَى الْأَرْضِ وَمَا عَلَيْهِ خَطِيئَةٌ»

✧ O Messenger of Allah, who are the people most severely tested? He said, "The prophets, then the next best and the next best. A servant is tested according to his religion. Thus, it does not cease to afflict the servant until he walks upon the earth with no sin upon him."
