أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى حَدَّثَنَا الْقَوَارِيرِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَعْشَرٍ الْبَرَاءُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شَدَّادُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْوَازِعِ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ الْمُغَفَّلِ يَقُولُ
أَتَى رَجُلٌ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ وَاللَّهِ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي لَأُحِبُّكَ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «إِنَّ الْبَلَايَا أَسْرَعُ إِلَى مَنْ يُحِبُّنِي مِنَ السَّيْلِ إِلَى مُنْتَهَاهُ»
