أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ بْنُ فَرُّوخٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنْ صُهَيْبٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ

«عَجَبًا لِأَمْرِ الْمُؤْمِنِ إِنَّ أَمْرَهُ كُلَّهُ خَيْرٌ إِنْ أَصَابَتْهُ سَرَّاءُ شَكَرَ وَإِنَّ أَصَابَتْهُ ضَرَّاءُ صَبَرَ وَكَانَ خَيْرًا لَهُ وَلَيْسَ ذَلِكَ لِأَحَدٍ إِلَّا لِلْمُؤْمِنِ»

the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said, "˹How˺ wondrous is the affair of a believer: for there is good in every affair of his, while that is not the case with anyone else except in the case of a believer: ˹i.e.,˺ if times of ease strike him, he is grateful which is good for him; and if times of distress strike him, he is patient, which is ˹also˺ good for him."
