قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ فَلَقِيتُ بَصْرَةَ بْنَ أَبِي بَصْرَةَ الْغِفَارِيَّ فَقَالَ
مِنْ أَيْنَ أَقْبَلْتَ؟ فَقُلْتُ مِنَ الطُّورِ فَقَالَ لَوْ أَدْرَكْتُكَ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَخْرُجَ إِلَيْهِ مَا خَرَجْتَ إِلَيْهِ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَا تُعْمَلُ الْمَطِيُّ إِلَّا إِلَى ثَلَاثَةِ مَسَاجِدَ إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ وَإِلَى مَسْجِدِي هَذَا وَإِلَى مَسْجِدِ إِيلِيَاءَ أَوْ مَسْجِدِ بَيْتِ الْمَقْدِسِ» شَكَّ أَيُّهُمَا

✧ “From where did you come?” I said, “From the Mount.” He said, “If I had reached you before you went out to it, you would not have gone out to it. I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: Mounts are not saddled except for three mosques: the Sacred Mosque, this mosque of mine, and the mosque of Iliya or the mosque of Jerusalem—he was unsure which of them.”
