✧ He said, "I went out to At-Tur and met Ka'b Al-Ahbar, so I sat with him and he told me about the Torah. I also told him about the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. In what he narrated, I said, 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'The best day on which the sun has risen is Friday; on it, Adam was created, on it he entered Paradise, on it he was expelled, on it he died, on it the Trumpet will be blown, and on it all creatures will swoon. Every beast is on the lookout from the time the sun rises until it has risen, fearing the coming of the Hour, except the Jinn and humans. There is an hour on Friday that no Muslim slave stands when praying and asks Allah for anything but He will give it to him.'" Ka'b said, "That happens every year on a day." I said, "No, but every Friday." Ka`b said, "So I read the Torah and he (i.e., the Prophet) said, 'The Messenger of Allah has spoken the truth.'"

- Ibn Ḥajar al-ʿAsqalānī
in صحيح ابن حبان, p. 2777 - Abū Bakr Aḥmad b. al-Ḥusayn al-Bayhaqī
machine translationMuḥammad b. Isḥāq b. Khuzaymah held that this disagreement concerns his statement, "On it Ādam was created," to the end. As for the statement, "The best day on which the sun has risen is Friday," it is from Abū Hurayrah, from the Prophet ﷺ, without any doubt.
in صحيح ابن حبان, p. 2777 - Ibn ʿAbd al-Barr
