Sahih Ibn Hibban 2555b
Night Prayer
Translation
✧ And I heard the Prophet ﷺ say: “A man from my community gets up at night, struggling with himself toward purification, and upon him are knots. When he washes his hands, one knot is undone. When he washes his face, one knot is undone. When he wipes his head, one knot is undone. When he washes his feet, one knot is undone. Then Allah, Mighty and Exalted, says to those behind the veil: ‘Look at this servant of Mine struggling with himself. Whatever My servant asks Me, it is his. Whatever My servant asks Me, it is his.’”
