أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْأَزْدِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ هَمَّامِ بْنِ مُنَبِّهٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ
«إِذَا قَامَ أَحَدُكُمْ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ فَلَا يَبْصُقْ أَمَامَهُ فَإِنَّهُ يُنَاجِي رَبَّهُ مَا دَامَ فِي مُصَلَّاهُ وَلَا عَنْ يَمِينِهِ فَإِنَّ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ مَلَكًا وَلْيَبْصُقْ عَنْ شِمَالِهِ أَوْ تَحْتَ رِجْلِهِ فَيَدْفِنَهُ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When one of you stands up for prayer, he should not spit in front of him, as he is conversing with his Lord as long as he is in his prayer area. He should not spit to his right either, as there is an angel to his right. Instead, he should spit to his left or beneath his foot and bury it."
