✧ I came and sat down, and Muhammad b. Muslim b. Khabbab said: Anas b. Malik came and sat in this place of yours and said: Do you know what this piece of wood is? We said: No. He said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ, when he stood for prayer, took it with his right hand, then turned and said: «Stand straight and straighten your rows.» Then he took it with his left hand and said: «Stand straight and straighten your rows.» When the mosque was demolished, it was lost. Then Umar, ؓ, searched for it and found that the Banu 'Amr b. 'Awf had taken it and placed it in their mosque, so he seized it and returned it.
