✧ Abu Humayd al-Sa'idi, Abu Usayd al-Sa'idi, Sahl ibn Sa'd, and Muhammad ibn Maslamah gathered and mentioned the prayer of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Abu Humayd said, 'I am the most knowledgeable among you concerning the prayer of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. The Prophet ﷺ stood up and said takbir and raised his hands. Then he raised his hands when he said takbir for bowing. Then he bowed and placed his hands on his knees as if grasping them, and he braced his hands, keeping them away from his sides. He did not lower his head nor draw it in. Then he stood up and raised his hands and stood straight until every limb returned to its position. Then he prostrated, placing his nose and forehead on the ground, and kept his hands away from his sides, and placed his palms level with his shoulders. Then he raised his head until every limb returned to its position, until he finished. Then he sat and spread his left leg and directed the front of his right foot toward the qiblah, and placed his right palm on his right knee and his left palm on his left knee, and pointed with his index finger.'
