أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مَنْصُورُ بْنُ زَاذَانَ عَنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي الصِّدِّيقِ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ

«كُنَّا نَحْزِرُ قِيَامَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي الظُّهْرِ وَالْعَصْرِ فَحَزَرْنَا قِيَامَهُ فِي الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ الْأُولَيَيْنِ قَدْرَ ثَلَاثِينَ آيَةً وَحَزَرْنَا قِيَامَهُ فِي الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ الْأُخْرَيَيْنِ عَلَى النِّصْفِ مِنْ ذَلِكَ وَحَزَرْنَا قِيَامَهُ فِي الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ الْأُولَيَيْنِ مِنَ الْعَصْرِ عَلَى قَدْرِ الْأُخْرَيَيْنِ مِنَ الظُّهْرِ وَحَزَرْنَا قِيَامَهُ فِي الْأُخْرَيَيْنِ مِنَ الْعَصْرِ عَلَى النِّصْفِ مِنْ ذَلِكَ»

✧ We used to estimate the standing of the Prophet ﷺ in Zuhr and Asr. We estimated his standing in the first two rak'ahs to be about thirty verses, and we estimated his standing in the last two to be half of that. We estimated his standing in the first two rak'ahs of Asr to be about the same as the last two of Zuhr, and we estimated his standing in the last two of Asr to be half of that.
