✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ heard a man while he was walking and saying "Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest". The Prophet ﷺ said, "According to our innate nature (Fitrah)". Then he said, "I bear witness that there is no god but Allah" and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "He is forbidden from Hell". So we rushed to catch up with him, and when the prayer reached him, he called out with it.

machine translationḤumayd al-Ṭawīl, Khulayd b. Daʿlaj and Yūsuf b. ʿAṭiyyah al-Ṣaffār narrate it from Qatādah, from Anas. There is disagreement (ikhtilāf) about Qatādah: Sallām b. Miskīn narrated it from Qatādah, from a companion of his, from ʿAlqamah, from Ibn Masʿūd. Muʿādh b. Muʿādh and ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz b. al-Ḥuṣayn narrated it from Ibn Abī ʿArūbah, from Qatādah, from Abū al-Aḥwaṣ, from ʿAbdullāh, and they did not mention ʿAlqamah. Likewise Maṭar al-Warrāq and ʿImrān al-Qaṭṭān narrated it from Qatādah, from Abū al-Aḥwaṣ, from ʿAbdullāh. And Ayyūb b. Abī Miskīn Abū al-ʿAlāʾ narrated it from Qatādah, from al-Ḥasan, from Ibn Masʿūd. The closest of them to being correct is the report of Muʿādh b. Muʿādh.
