Sahih Ibn Hibban 1079

Translation

✧ ʿAlī, ؓ, entered the open courtyard after praying the dawn prayer and sat down. Then he said to a servant, 'Bring me water for purification.' The servant brought him a vessel containing water and a basin. ʿAbd Khayr said: We were sitting and watching him. He took the vessel with his right hand and poured water over his left hand. All of that without inserting his hand into the vessel until he had washed both hands three times. Then he inserted his right hand and rinsed his mouth, inhaled water into his nose, and blew his nose with his left hand. He did this three times. Then he washed his face three times. Then he washed his right hand three times up to the elbow. Then he washed his left hand up to the elbow three times. Then he inserted his right hand into the vessel until it was submerged, then raised it with what it carried of water, then wiped it with his left hand. Then he wiped his head with both hands once. Then he poured with his right hand three times over his right foot and washed it with his left hand. Then he poured with his right hand over his left foot three times and washed it with his left hand. Then he inserted his hand into the vessel, scooped with his palm, and drank from it. Then he said, 'This is the purification of the Prophet of Allah ﷺ. Whoever wishes to look at the purification of the Prophet of Allah ﷺ, this is his purification.'
