✧ Concerning buying the hundred in the stipend

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ:
سَأَلْتُ الشَّعْبِيَّ عَنْ شِرَاءِ [١]الزِّيَادَةِ فِي الْعَطَاءِ ؟ قَالَ: لَا آمُرُ بِهَا وَلَا أَنْهَى عَنْهَا، وَأَنْهَى عَنْهَا نَفْسِي وَوَلَدِي. وَقَدْ فَعَلَ ذَلِكَ مَنْ هُوَ خَيْرٌ مِنِّي، قُلْتُ: مَنْ ؟ قَالَ: أُمَرَاءُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
